During an early morning shoot I arrived at this pond in Big Cypress(Everglades). A few birds were searching for breakfast, but the light was too dim for a shot. Then the sun rose enough to peek through the Cypress canopy and a shaft fell on this Great White Egret poised for takeoff. The scene reminded me of something stage lit.
